Kelly Skovron, LCSW

Kelly Skovron, LCSW is a psychotherapist specializing in the treatment of trauma/PTSD, childhood abuse, depression, anxiety, addiction, self-esteem issues, and life transitions. She believes that mental health can be improved and lives can be reclaimed through therapy that deepens your insight, helps you develop mindfulness, and explores the mind-body connections integral to the healing process. Trauma, depression, and anxiety can wreak havoc on your ability to live a fulfilling life, but when you identify how your problems today relate to events and patterns of the past, you can process the emotions that come with it, and challenge unhelpful thinking to gain a sense of agency, health, and self-regard. Kelly’s specialized training in EMDR plays a large part in providing therapy that is both effective and collaborative. She integrates psychodynamic principles, IFS, somatic experiencing tools, CBT, ACT, and DBT into her approach to treatment and offers specific EMDR and PE therapies for trauma and PTSD. Kelly completed her MSW at Rutgers University and has trained in community clinics, ER departments, mobile crisis units, and private group practices working with adults and adolescents.
